Description:

TEKsystems is looking for an IT Specialist to support our customer in Virginia Beach. Candidates must have an Active Secret Clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for providing both phone and shoulder to shoulder support of the IT systems at this specific location. It is a smaller team, so the work will not be siloed to only low level support, but this person must have an aptitude to pick up on all other tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure our training infrastructure remains fully functional and accessible.

• Configure and manage Active Directory accounts effectively.

• Identify and address problem areas while seizing opportunities for network enhancements.

• Translate metrics into actionable insights and convey their significance effectively.

• Gain hands-on experience in managing users and computers within our enterprise network.

• Provide expert desktop support to ensure smooth IT operations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IT services.

• Maintain and optimize hardware and software configurations.

• Assist in IT projects to improve system performance.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in desktop support.

Requirements:

• An Active Secret Clearance

• CompTIA Security+ certification

• 2-3 years of desktop support and helpdesk experience

• Experience troubleshooting end user issues around both hardware and software
