Robert Half Patient Financial Access Facilitator in Stratford, Connecticut

Description

We are searching for a diligent and experienced Patient Registration Facilitator to join our team in Stratford, Connecticut. This role is in the healthcare industry and will involve managing functions and processes related to patient check-in, check-out, registration, and scheduling. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all functions and processes related to patient check-in, check-out, registration, and scheduling

• Obtain and update patient demographic and financial information in a timely manner

• Ensure accurate patient identification while adhering to safety procedures

• Stay updated with all insurance changes and adhere to managed care requirements and other healthcare legislation

• Understand various insurance carriers' options and complete insurance entry accurately to ensure a payable account

• Verify eligibility of insurances, identify and collect co-pay balances, and initiate other funding referrals as necessary

• Initiate and complete patient visit information in accordance with department protocol

• Accurately schedule patient appointments by obtaining necessary patient demographic and insurance information

• Work in collaboration with the clinical team to schedule appointments according to facility schedule, staff availability, and patient needs

• Ensure appropriate financial information is accurately obtained and documented to ensure proper reimbursement to the health system

• Utilize strong customer service, communication, documentation, planning, and scheduling skills to perform the role effectively.

Requirements • Proficient in Customer Service and Communication

• Demonstrated skills in Documentation, Training, Planning, and Procedures

• Ability to understand and implement Policy

• Experience in Schedule Appointments, Quality Review, and Scheduling

• Familiarity with Insurance principles and Workstation Support

• Comfortable with Phone Presence and managing Benefit Functions

• Experience with Reconciliations, Billing, and On-Line platforms

• Ability to Troubleshoot issues and navigate Websites

• Knowledge of Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks

• Proficiency in English Language

• Understanding of Regulation and Clinical Trial Operations

• Proficient in MS Access

• Previous experience in a Patient Registration role or similar is preferred
