Oswego Teachers & Employee FCU in Oswego NY is looking for a full time Finance Assistant.
This position serves as the finance assistant, working closely as a strategic partner with the VP of Finance. This position provides financial and administrative resources, while acting with absolute institutional integrity on fiscal and personnel matters. This individual must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to the mission of the Oswego Teachers Employees Federal Credit Union.
Responsibilities Include
-Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
-Assist with monthly and year-end closing process.
-Preform general ledger reconciliation.
-Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
-Support the day-to-day accounting operations.
-Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
-Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
-Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve financial processes.
-Provide support for audits.
-Preform Accounts Payable duties.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities -Bachelor's degree in Business required or experience in Accounting, Financial Service, Banking or working in a Credit Union. -Exceptional attention to detail. -Good analytical and problem solving skills. -Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. -Good in Excel skills. -Work well in a team environment.
Schedule -Monday -Friday -8:30am-4:00pm -37.5 hours a week
Pay rate $50,000 - $55,000 per year
