Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a talented, self-directed, and growth-focused Field Marketing Specialist to drive awareness of AWS services and solutions to the Public Sector, which includes a wide range of US federal agencies. Candidates must be well-versed digital marketing and demand generation platforms, data-driven operations, and in the industry’s customers.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive the development and deployment of digital marketing and event registration/management initiatives, as well as operational data analysis, performance metrics and business reporting for AWS Public Sector, including US federal government customers

• Work closely with marketing and sales colleagues and leadership teams to achieve business goals

• Develop compelling audience-specific event registration and demand generation products and tools (registration pages, demand generation emails, website content) to be used in support of live and virtual events for all lines of business in US Federal.

• Support the strategy and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns, focused on key AWS priority solution themes and topics that are designed to acquire and nurture customer leads.

• Develop and execute digital deliverables to drive business goals, position AWS as a cloud services leader, and measurably impact our customers missions

• Dive deep into data to provide visibility into marketing campaign results, measure campaign effectiveness, and inform decision making for optimized campaign strategies

A day in the life

You will own development and execution of digital marketing campaigns and event registration/ customer demand generation to increase AWS event attendance by customers, customer engagement, lead acquisition, sales opportunities, and market share. An ability to develop, execute, and measure impactful digital marketing campaigns is a must-have with preference for proficiency in digital platforms like Marketo and SplashThat. You will also be working alongside field marketing managers, marketing operations, Global Lead Development and sales operations to monitor and report on marketing performance. You will dive deep into marketing metrics and data, helping all areas of the US Federal business track and report on their progress, identify new opportunities, and create a clear picture of overall business performance. This role will support our US Federal team leaders in the strategy, planning and execution of programs focused on the wide range of government customers across multiple agencies.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience in a marketing role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a Content Management System (e.g. Wordpress, Drupla, Joomla, etc.)

  • Experience using integrated campaigns to solve brand/business challenges

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $54,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $116,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
