The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Clinical Program Coordinator to work on the UHealth Campus. The Clinical Program Coordinator assists in the development, organization, production and evaluation of a variety of health promotion and educational program offerings for patients in the assigned unit. Provides general oversight over daily program operations in support of the University's mission, including the direct supervision of volunteers. Monitors the financial performance of programs to meet departmental goals, and assists with short- and long-range budgetary planning.

  • Evaluates office production, revises procedures, or devises new forms to improve efficiency workflow and priorities.

  • Supervises clinical operations and quality assurance procedures essential for successful operations.

  • Implements projects and procedures to ensure program performance is exceeding expectations.

  • Maintains Kyruus Provider Match platform; management/updates for all Digestive Health Division and other cloud storage systems in collaboration with Sr. Project Coordinator.

  • Develop and maintenance of patient wait list/triage system for the Digestive Health & Liver.

  • Develop and maintain reminder system and wait list to optimize clinic visits and provider schedules.

  • Develop system, and track slots gained through review and reminders.

  • Manages and schedules Clinic/Telehealth follow ups and new patient visits for Digestive Health.

  • Monitors provider scheduling and access to improve scheduling, utilization, and fill rates and make template change recommendations to Sr. Practice Manager and Sr. Department Administrator.

  • Serves as a liaison between the patients, physicians, physician extenders, and nursing team.

  • Works closely with Sr. Practice Manager to review operational efficiencies for Digestive Health group.

  • Provides support to GI subspecialists, tracks procedural cancellations, notifies provider and UHT Procedure scheduling and assists with escalations when needed, ad-hoc task.

  • Offers support and backup for phone coverage when needed.

  • Provide back-up to Sr. Project Coordinator as needed and directed by Sr. Practice Manager.

  • Manages and maintains QGenda block schedules and provider clinic and procedure patterns, and adds/deletes new and departing providers for Digestive Health

  • Develops Gastroenterology on-call and attending schedules annually in QGenda.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
