What part will you play?

As a future IT Business Partner (f/m/d) in Manufacturing within SI Electrification & Automation, you will support the digitalization of plant processes and focus on the introduction of a modern, cloud-based MES system for our factories around the world.

  • You will proactively and independently coordinate the IT requirements with the digitization teams of our factories and plan the implementation within the budget and track it as part of the forecast process.

  • Your main tasks will be the introduction of an MES system for our factory network, together with the functional departments (centralized and decentralized) and the factories.

  • In close coordination with the teams of the respective functional departments (operations, factories and IT), you will drive the optimization and digitalization of the MES landscape, including, e.g. considering which microservices and technologies we will implement on ourselves or with which partners, but also the coordination of the necessary services, such as SAP, Integration Layer and Teamcenter/NX.

  • With your strong network in the main IT organizations and transformation projects within Siemens AG, you will shape the MES-relevant IT architecture.

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You have successfully completed your Master technical studies in business informatics or a comparable field and have many years of professional experience.

  • As an experienced project manager in the IT environment, you have extensive knowledge of project management from customer requirements to go-live of the project.

  • You have experience in project management methods (waterfall and agile) and have gained initial experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence and Polarion.

  • Based on your previous career, you have developed an understanding of operational workflows and processes in plants (source, make, deliver) and may have already gained experience in MES implementations. In addition, you have already had your first points of contact with a microservice-oriented architecture.

  • You have strong analytical and consulting skills and can also present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a larger audience.

  • You are characterized by a high willingness to communicate, team orientation and business fluent German and English.

  • It is natural for you to approach topics proactively, pragmatically, and independently.

  • You have a solid understanding of complex and modern IT architectures and the corresponding software ecosystems.

  • Your good experience with Teamcenter and SAP rounds off your profile.
