Home Depot Cybersecurity Staff Analyst - Cybersecurity Training & Awareness (Remote) in Atlanta, Georgia

The Home Depot's Cybersecurity Training & Awareness team is looking to add a Staff level Security Awareness SME who is self-starting, collaborative, and passionate. The role requires a team player who can mentor junior team members. The successful candidate will also be innovative, execution strong, and resourceful. Key Responsibilities:

Social Engineering & Training

  • Lead The Home Depot's Social Engineering Program (both strategically and tactfully) to develop phishing simulations, report results, and train populations who are most susceptible to various social engineering tactics.

  • Plan, develop, and deliver presentations, instructor-led training, and workshops throughout the year on various security awareness topics, including phishing and social engineering.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to create, implement, and maintain compliance and threat-based cybersecurity awareness training modules.

Content & Culture

  • Create omni-channel content for internal audiences on various threat and human behavior-based security awareness topics.

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, and business partners to advance the team mission and imbed a culture of security across the enterprise through recognition and ambassador programs.

Reporting:

  • Aggerate, analyze and report upon human behavior-based metrics, including phishing and social engineering, to stakeholders and leadership.

Program Management

  • Champion global security awareness programs, such as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, from ideation to implementation to execution.

  • Collect metrics and feedback to assess the effectiveness of various phishing, social engineering, and security awareness programs and provide recommendations to continuously improve.

  • Assist in managing relationships with third party vendors and training providers.

  • Support regulatory and risk-based assessments.

  • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.

*Preferred Hard Competencies: *

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity principles with emphasis on human behavior driven cyber risks (ex: Social Engineering, Insider Threat, etc.).

  • Knowledge and understanding of current and emerging cybersecurity threats and trends with emphasis on various social engineering concepts.

  • Understanding of adult learning concepts and theory to help train, champion, and adopt a culture of security across a global enterprise.

  • Experience in translating cybersecurity concepts to non-technical audiences.   

  • Experience speaking before large audiences on various security awareness and cybersecurity topics.

  • Familiarity of security compliance frameworks (ex: PCI, NIST).

  • Experience planning and managing large-scale events is a plus. 

*Preferred Years of Experience: *

  • 3-6 Years of Previous Security Awareness Experience (Onsite & Remote)  

*Preferred Certifications:  *

  • CISSP, Security+, SANS

Staff Analysts perform data gathering, analysis, synthesis and develop solutions to support THD Cybersecurity practices. Staff Analyst mentors and guides Jr Analysts. Lead multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team, interact with multiple levels and functions across the organization

Key Responsibilities:

  • 100% Deliver Execution, Plans & Aligns, Develop Others - Oversee multiple projects simultaneously; Strategic partner to align solutions to customers expectations Communicate to various levels of business partners; Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, developers and others to deliver high quality solutions; Partner cross-functionally to define assess, communicate, implement, train and change management of projects; Lead, mentor and provide guidance to team members and partners; Serve as SME and perform research/analysis within assigned projects

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous leadership experience

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
